The more māmaki we grow, the more habitat there is for the pulelehua to thrive. Traditionally used as a tea, māmaki is an endemic Hawaiian stingless nettle that we grow and infuse in the balm for its clean, skin-soothing properties.

Our most "local" product! Woodsy and grounding, this balm is popular with men and women, from soothing bug bites and itchy skin to beard and hair conditioning.

Using the same healing formula as our regular Coconut Māmaki Balm, this special ʻIliahi (Hawaiian Sandalwood) version uses 100% pure Hawaiian Sandalwood essential oil to add a light woodsy scent and additional skin-healing and calming properties.

Sandalwood is known for its deep and contemplative aroma, which is why it’s been used in religious and spiritual practices around the world for centuries.

Made in Hawaii from organic coconut + olive oil and local beeswax, infused with our farm-grown mamaki (Hawaiian nettle) with the precious essential oil of Hawaiian Sandalwood from the Big Island of Hawaiʻi.

The oil is only harvested from already fallen or dead trees to prevent overharvesting, which decimated the native forests in the past. Native insects like the yellow-faced bees are attracted to the ‘Iliahi flowers, another reason why we love supporting native plant regeneration.

Māmaki and ʻIliahi are both important parts of the native Hawaiian forest.
