“Expression is the antidote to depression. Music and the arts have a proven way of bypassing the mind chatter and negative self-talk to reach the very essence of who we are, which is the light that we’re all supposed to be.”

My name, Mayu, means “True Dream” in Japanese (given to me by my fellow dreamer father). My Japanese dance stage name was Yume-ori, which means “Dreamweaver.” Naturally, I’ve been a dreamer all my life, following in every moment what pulls me most. This feeling of being pulled, however, was often not according to my own instructions but others’ agendas that I let myself get sucked into. After many years of meandering, I realize that everything happens for a reason… and all each one of us has to do is let our purity shine through, without needing to “do” or “be” anything other than who we are.

Finding Your True Voice Workshop

Our voices are deeply connected to our self-worth, our purpose, our relationships to others, and our whole sense of self.

This workshop will help you relax and find your voice, both literally and figuratively, through unique vocal and breathing exercises, and release congested energy that can get easily trapped in and around our vocal cords. Don't worry, you don't have to be a singer to do these exercises! They are designed to help us strengthen and stabilize our vocalizations, as well as our ability to have our own voice to stand up for ourselves and our deeper purpose in our lives.

Taught by Mayu Langford, Board-Certified Music Therapist and Holistic Practitioner, who studied with some of the world's leading vocal performance teachers and singers at Berklee College of Music as a vocalist and recording artist. Mayu is featured in over 30 singles and albums worldwide in addition to working with hundreds of clients using music therapy tools for emotional, physical, mental, and spiritual healing and development.

This workshop is offered on a donation-basis. Although not required, if you feel it was valuable to you, please consider donating any amount that you can. Thank you!
